Use a Design Sheet...........

It's Digi Choosday Discount Day - so make sure you are on the main challenge blog TODAY to ensure you get that bargain code!

Now for those of you here for the challenge, your theme is 'Anything Goes' but for the design team our challenge this week was 'Use a Design Sheet'.

For this challenge I went for the Helga Collection again - you can find the whole collection here or this design sheet is available as a double here.

She's so cute, I went for one of the backing papers from the same collection, you can buy this bundle here if you just want the papers.

From the design sheet, I used one of the main toppers, the roses border, the banner, the cute basket and two additional flowers for effect.

This was a quick and easy card to make using my Silhouette Portrait and the handy guide in the bundle that lets you cut on your machine with no fuss.

Remember to pop along to the main challenge and see the rest of the inspiration from the rest of the team and the rules for our challenge.

Thanks for popping by and I'll see you again soon!

GDT spot on Through The Craft Room Door.........

Well a few weeks ago I won the challenge on 'Through The Craft Room Door's' weekly challenge and not only was I delighted with my win but part of the prize is the opportunity to have a Guest Design Team spot for a challenge week, obviously when asked if I wanted to play - I said YES please!

The lovely Deonna told me for the week I was a GDT that the blog was being sponsored by the amazingly talented Ching Chou Kuik, and I was allowed to play with the beautiful 'Spring Dreaming' which you can find here.

She is so beautiful, I coloured her with copic markers:

I coloured Spring Dreaming with the following markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Hair: E53, E55, E57
Towel: R20, R21, R22, R27
Flowers: V000, V02, V13, V08

I made a 7x7 card with plain purple cardstock I had in my stash, I used the Nitwit Collection Snow Princess which I have in an 8x8 paper pad.  I added some purple ribbon and some paper flowers to complete the card,

I love how this turned out. I would like to thank Deonna and TTCRD for the lovely opportunity of playing along with you this week, it's been great fun, thank you so much!

See you soon

Anything but a card........

It is DISCOUNT DAY which means it is Digi Choosday Day!!!! Love Love Love choosday!

Ok so this week the design team are not allowed to make a card, so I decided to make a tag. Entrants into the challenge can make anything you want as long as you made it, for our rules pop on to the main blog.

I enlisted my good friend Silhouette Portrait to cut out my tag and also cut out the image for this weeks challenge. I opted to use 'The Darling Buds' which you can find here.

I opted to use a nice kraft card backing with just a break of paper, which is from the 'Work & Play Collection 10: Country Life' you can find it here.

I coloured Snowdrop with Copics.  This little beauty can be bought by herself and you get the coloured image too, see more, here!

Remember to pop by the main blog to see the rest of the teams inspiration and to join in the fun with us - all details on the main blog - plus that code!

See you soon!

Just Hoppin By to say Hi.......

It's time for another challenge at Colour Crazy Challenge and as always our theme is 'Anything Goes'.

This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Kitty and her shop 'My Mums Craft Shop' - thanks so much for sponsoring us this week!

We got to play with what ever image we wanted this week and I am a HUGE fan of 'Tiddly Ink Stamps' so I had to use a Wrynn image. I opted for 'Wrynn Hopping By' - which you can find here.

I coloured the oh so adorable Wrynn with Copic Markers.

I used the following markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E53, E55, E57
Dress: V01, V12, V15, R20,, R21, R22
Pogo: C3, C5, C7

I made a shaped card using a cutting file on my silhouette portrait. I used papers from the Polkadoodles Collection 'Helga' which you can find here.

I think this is just super pretty and cute!

To join in with any of our challenges all you need to do is ensure your project is hand coloured by you.  Pop over to the main challenge blog to see what goodies you can win.

Thanks for Hoppin' By!

Use lots of Green..........

Time for another challenge at Digi Choosday Challenge, this weeks theme for the design team is 'Lots of Green' - this weeks challenge for everyone else, is as always, 'Anything Goes'.  You can use whatever medium you like to enter as long as the project is made by you.

Of course because it is Digi Choosday - there is a discount code to grab on the main blog to use in the store. Do not miss out!

This week I decided to go back to one of my most favourite collections - Serenity. I ADORE this collection and the image I used this week is 'Serenity Princess'.  You can find her here as a download collection or as a single image or as a CD and just letting you know but this beautiful collection is on sale at the moment. Uh-huh. You need to get over to the store pronto folks!

I made an easel card this week.

I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the easel card and the papers. The top paper that Serenity is on is from the Serenity collection.  The bottom paper is from 'Work & Play Collection: Country Life' which you can find here.  The sentiment is from the new 'Darling Buds Collection' which can be found here.

I coloured Serenity with my Copic Markers after cutting her out on the Silhouette.

She's so pretty, I love her.

Remember to pop along to the main blog to the design team inspiration and also grab that code!

Hope you liked my make for this week, see you next week!

Ribbon or Lace.........

Hello there!

How is everyone, are you all well! Well welcome to another challenge at Digi Choosday Challenge!!!! Yes it is DISCOUNT DAY people! So get your behinds over to the MAIN CHALLENGE and grab that code while it lasts!

However, before you go...........let's take a wee look at this weeks challenge. Every week the challenge for you lovely people is 'Anything Goes' - however, for the design team, there is a challenge - and this week we were challenged to use 'Ribbon or Lace'.

Now this isn't a challenge for me. I have a 21 litre Really Useful Box that cannot actually close without forcing it because it is FULL of ribbon AND lace. However, it's so very pretty I do find very good reason not to use it................you crafty crafters know what I mean! It's too pretty. I even take the ribbon off birthday cakes, but it just gets cleaned and put in the box. I have a problem I know.

Anyhoo, as this challenge specifically says ribbon or lace, I cut a length of ribbon for this weeks card. Oh the indecision................

Before that, I wasted half an evening deciding what beautiful image I was going to use for this challenge, there is just SO much to choose from!

I finally decided to use 'Marigold' from the stunning new collection 'Darling Buds'.  Now this is available as an individual digi download, or as a download collection.  Click on the options to be taken to the store, or click on the STORE to go browsing! Remember if you only want an indivdual digi image from the collection then you also get the coloured version, so that's 2 digi stamps for £2.59! Can you say BARGAIN????? I can! :)

Ok enough with me, let's talk cards.

So I made a 7x7 card, this week I pulled my Silhouette Portrait into play.

I cut a plain white 7x7 back, then I cut a smaller 'nest' square in a paper I found in 'Winne Fruit Punch' - now again this is available in different formats. You can have the whole digi download, the CD, just the paper bundle that I have used, actually there are so many different choices of bundles in this I recommend you go have a nose!

I then printed out 'Marigold' onto white card (cut with my portrait) and coloured her with my Copic Markers. I added a sentiment from the 'Darling Bud' collection and added that all important piece of ribbon.

It's a nice CAS card and I love how the orange just pops against the white.

Well thank you for popping past, now remember to take part in our challenge, it's 'Anything Goes' as long as it is handmade by YOU. Rules are on the main challenge blog where you can see the rest of the design teams inspiration for this week.

Don't forget to use that discount code in the shop! Have fun!

See you next week!

Hi there!

Well it's been a while since I have been in the Digi Choosday Team, but I got asked to come back and play and well I didn't need to be asked twice.

So this is my first post and although the challenge blog is always 'Anything Goes' - the design team do have a theme to play along to and this week we were asked to use a design sheet.

I opted to use the 'Helga' collection, I have had this since it was a release but not yet used it and there are so many pretty design sheets on this collection, you can find it here as a digi bundle or here as the CD.

I opted to use Design Sheet 6 - which you can also buy as a duo here as a download.

Now I am proud owner of a Silhouette Portrait but I'm not very good with it, whenever I have used a design sheet from a collection before, I have struggled and found it easier to cut them out by hand,

However, if you have any of the newer collections, you will see in the folder for cutting files, there are black image sheets that help you use the design sheet with the Silhouette.

There is an instruction sheet within the cutting file that tells you how to get the design sheets to cut easily.  I followed the instructions and voila - perfect cut!

I made a 7x7 card, using one of the papers from the collection and then the rest of the card is all from the design sheet.

Cannot tell you how much quicker and simpler this was!!

Don't forget to pop along to the main challenge blog to see the rest of the inspiration from the design team and to take part in the fun with us,

Thanks for popping by!
